Copying sheet loses height and row width/height formatting

Postby Gooney on Tue Apr 28, 2009 4:21 am

Copying sheets does not keep the old row height and column widths. Also does not copy drawing objects (rectangles used to activate macros), or charts. I tried to select the chart/shape and copy then paste into new sheet but no dice there either.

Just curious if I am doing it right or missing something. I need to make numerous copies... and it would take too long to make each one from scratch.. especially with setting up each chart time and time again.

Bye the way, neat pictures from the North Pole. That's a very exclusive club. Check that one off the "to do" list.

Best,
David

Hi David,
You are not doing anything wrong. The program does not yet support copying of objects on sheets. I'll try to fix that as soon as possible and send you an updated version when it is ready. It's going to take me a few weeks though.
Regards,
Stephen.

Hi David,
I have fixed the problem wit copying sheets. Now when you use the Edit > Move or Copy Sheet menu option, instead of just creating a blank sheet and copying the cell data, the program makes an exact copy of the existing sheet, including the row and column formatting and the objects on the sheet.
I have sent updated copies of the software to you.
I still need to support the copying of cell ranges that contain objects, and the copying of individual objects.
