Hi, I'm glad to find your website and programs. I can see the enormous amount of work that went into these programs!

My Sheet:
The sheet is "protected." Formula cells are locked but user cells are not locked.

My Problem:
When using the "Cut" command, it removes the "unlock" format of the user cell (which locks the cell). So when trying to enter data in that previously "Cut" cell, the "Cell is locked" message appears and the cell is obviously blocked from use.

We like to use the "Cut" command because it is far quicker in deleting old data (and moving it to new cells) because it is right on the toolbar (along with "copy" and "paste"). Having to open up the keyboard and hit "backspace" covers up a lot of the screen and uses more keystrokes.

I note that in MS Excel when using the "Cut" command it also deletes all formatting (as expected), however it does NOT leave the cell locked as in your version.

Any thoughts on this problem are appreciated.

I am using SPREMAEN on a Dell Axim X51 with MS Windows Mobile 5 (5.1.195) - Build 14957.2.3.1. Intel PXA270 416 MHz 64 MB of Ram and 128 MB of ROM.

Sorry, I should have given you that info the first time.

Bye the way I also can not use the "Undo" command because it deletes or changes the conditional formatting of the last cell that you want to "undo."

Is MS Windows Mobile 5 a problem?

I notice that the Dell Axim X51 is NOT listed... only the X51v. Problem??

1) When I asked which version, I meant which version of SpreadCE are you using? It should be version 2.02.

2) I don't understand the problem with Undo and Conditional Formatting. Please could you give me an example of how to reproduce it?

I could not find the version number in the program itself, but I downloaded it two weeks ago off your website. I have downloaded SPREMAEN again today (says 2.02) and "reinstalled" onto my Dell Axim x51 just to see if it helps. No dice, same two problems.

When I opened a NEW sheet, I could not duplicate the "undo" issue. However the "cut" issue shows up right away.

For the "Cut" problem try this: Pull up new sheet, unlock cell A1 then conditionally format as "Cell value is, Greater than, 10" then Format... as Font.. Color Red. Now "Protect" the sheet.

In cell A1 type "10" and "enter" (it should be in black font), now reselect cell A1 and type "20" and "enter" (it should be in red font), now reselect cell A1 and select "Cut", now try to type anything in cell A1... it will be locked (at least on mine it will be).

For the "Undo" (and also the "Cut") issue I will e-mail you my program. My email is jumper5two@yahoo.com

Okay, I can reproduce this error now:
1) format an individual cell (not a whole column) as unlocked
2) protect sheet
3) type into unlocked cell
4) cut unlocked cell
5) type into unlocked cell - error: cell is protected!

I will fix this as soon as possible and send you an updated version of the software.

Both the "Cut locks unlocked cells" bug and the "Undo corrupts conditional formatting" bug have been fixed now.

Concerning the "cells lock after cut command", and "undo - changing conditional formatting", wondering if you could apply the fixes you made to spremaen, to your spre32en program as well.

It is so much easier to program on my laptop (using spre32en) then transfer the program to the PDA.

You may need to download version 2.03 of Spread32 from the web site.

Yes! The undo works perfect on version 2.03. Let's just say that "Undo", is a close friend when I start "tinkering" with things.
